My Branding Process
Your brand identity is so much more than just a logo. I’ll make sure that every aspect of your customers’ experience works together to tell the authentic story of your brand. We’ll set a strong foundation with the brand strategy and infuse it throughout—logos, colors, typography, patterns, tone, collateral—so everything is cohesive, taking your business to the next level.
1. Discovery
To kick things off, I’ll be asking you lots of questions in order to understand your business, its values, where you’re looking to take it in the future, and who your main audience is. This sets up a solid foundation for the creative brief.

2. Strategy
During the strategy phase, I distill all of the information from our discussions and from the branding questionnaire. I define the brand personality, tone, and the visual direction in the form of an inspiration board. One revision is included. This creative brief makes sure we’re on the same page and acts as a guide for us throughout the project, keeping us on track with our goals and direction.
3. Design
I hit the ground running, sketching, and sketching some more. I’ll deep dive into a few ideas, evaluate, and refine the best 1-3 logo concepts to show you, depending on what feels right. Sometimes there’s one really obvious winner! This is also when the other elements of your brand identity come together: colors, typefaces, photopgraph styles, and illustrations). I’ll walk you through the presentation, explaining my thinking and decisions.

4. Refinement
After the presentation, I’ll ask you for some feedback to make sure the logo direction is on track with our initial goals. It’s important to me that you’re 100% happy and on board, so we can take the time to make things right in this stage. Two rounds of refinement are included, but many partners don’t use any at all!
5. Collateral
Two items of collateral are included to help your new brand sing right away. Different items are useful to different businesses. One revision is included. Here are a few examples of common collateral items:
Social media templates, business cards, packaging, hang tags, buttons, price sheets, t-shirts, etc.
6. Brand Guidelines
This is where it all comes together. Your logo, secondary and alternative logos, color palette, typography, patterns, and collateral will all be showcased in one place, ready for you to take and keep growing your business.
I’ll deliver all final files, including your logo in AI, EPS, JPG, and PNG formats, as well as the files for your collateral items.
